Important Facts about PA free services:

  • Sexual assault victims seeking counseling services related to their abuse under this new claim process are not required to have reported the assault to police or other authorities to be eligible to receive these counseling benefits.

  • The abuse must have occurred in the state of Pennsylvania.

  • Total value of counseling services has a limit of $5000 to $10,000 (depending on age when assault occurred).

  • Counseling services is defined as mental health therapy performed by, or under the supervision of, a mental health provider such as, a psychiatrist, psychologist, licensed professional counselor, or licensed social worker - Victim may chose their own mental health provider as long as the provider meets this requirement. 

  • Compensation for counseling services is paid directly to the licensed mental health provider.
